Read 10 pages a day
One of the simplest and most life-changing habits you can adopt is to read daily.
If you want to become calmer, happier, a better parent, a better spouse, make more money, speak better… basically anything, you can use books to help you get there.
(Your brain is like a supercomputer, and books are little programs you can update it with.)

Pew research claims the average person reads 12 books a year, but I’m gonna call BS on that.
The average person probably reads closer to 0 books a year, and that’s a big problem.
Especially when you consider that we all have more than enough time to pick up a book and read a few pages.
10 pages a day is all it takes.
Start with less if need be, but work up to at least 10 pages daily.
That’s less than 30 minutes a day, and will add up to about 12 books a year.

There’s an old saying that goes:
Read 3 books on a subject and you’ll be considered an expert.
Now I don’t know if that’s 100% true, but what I do know is that a SINGLE book can change your life.
There are books I read 10 years ago that completely changed how I view things today.
And more recently there are books I’ve read/am reading, that have changed how I approach parenting, my marriage, my work, and myriad other things.
The point is, we are not finished products. We can always become better in the areas that matter to us most, and books are a way to get there.
So think about what you want to improve in, then go grab a couple of the top books on that subject and dive in.
If you absorb and apply what you learn from those books… a year from now you’ll be amazed how much you’ve improved.
